Moira Halliday and Andrew Woodgate leave Framework - 07/11/2009

Both are moving on to exciting ventures, so it is with a mix of sadness and celebration that we report that two of our members, after 19 and 11 years’ involvement in the network, left Framework in October.

Moira Halliday and Andrew Woodgate have developed their work in new ways – Moira is taking up a full-time job for the Academy of Executive Coaching, and Andrew is developing a psychotherapy practice specialising in men clients.

We will miss them badly, and wish them well in their new endeavours. We say more about each below. To contact Moira, e-mail moira.halliday@aoec.com; to contact Andrew, e-mail oxfordandrew@btinternet.com

Moira leaves Framework after 19 years! Everybody thought it would never happen. Moira and Framework have been inextricably entwined since 1990…. But it has happened.

In Moira’s own words:

“What a strange time. I am so sorry to be leaving my beloved Framework and at the same time am very excited to be joining the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) as a facilitator of some of their magnificent Coaching Programmes and Coordinator of their growing Coach Facilitation provision.

Old news is that I have been developing my coaching practice within Framework for many years. I completed a Diploma in Advanced Executive Coaching three years ago and have been working closely with the AoEC ever since. When they advertised for a facilitator my heart leapt. It was the first post that had ever attracted me to change my career path, to take a job – I applied and the rest is history as they say.

Of course I will stay in touch with Framework – not least as an active community member. I still have regular contact with Framework members who have gone before me into a range of interesting work roles – an MP, a Youth Offending Service Director, a Youth Service strategic manager…and now Andrew – a psychotherapist.

I will also miss the myriad of organisational clients I have had the privilege to work with over the years and saying goodbye to coachees and therapy clients has been very hard for me.

So, definitely mixed feelings; but excitement about the next phase of my working life sits uppermost.”

Andrew’s new psychotherapy practice:

After eleven years as a Framework member, Andrew is leaving to pursue his career as a psychotherapist, coach and spiritual facilitator.

Now approaching the end of his -five year MSc training, Andrew has started to see therapy clients privately. He plans to develop a counselling practice specialising in men clients. His interest in ‘spiritual facilitation’ stems from his experience of having designed and run spiritual growth workshops and from having gained a post-grad certificate in the subject from Surrey University a few years ago.

During his time with Framework, Andrew has worked with large, nationally-known organisations, tiny community groups - and with organisations of all sizes in between. His work has taken him all over England and (once!) to Oslo on a joint project with Bruce.

Commenting on this transition, Andrew said:

‘This is an exciting moment in my life and feels so right. For some time I have been drawn to working in a deeper way with individuals and groups, particularly with men, who face particular challenges with their identity, sexuality and emotions. I feel optimistic about this next stage of my career and know that I will stay in touch with my Framework friends.’
