Katherine Stoessel

A passionate interest in human relations spans Katherine’s careers in education, the performing arts, and conflict resolution. An educator for all of her career, Katherine received training in dispute resolution in New York City in 1998.   

Katherine is currently based in North Oxfordshire and regularly mediates interpersonal and team workplace disputes in the public and private sector throughout the UK.  As a trainer and programme designer she has designed and implemented mediation training, and conflict handling strategies in a variety of governmental, educational, and non-profit institutions including, Columbia University in New York City, UNESCO and the Centre de la Mediation in Paris, and the International Federation of Trade Unions in Geneva.  Globally she has designed and facilitated mediation, dialogue and conflict resolution programmes in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, West Africa, and Central Africa for several International NGOs.  In New York, she worked as a University ombudsman handling interpersonal conflict, group conflicts, harassment, and discrimination.

Katherine’s practice in the UK has evolved to include restorative justice, individual and team coaching, and facilitation.  For more information download a brochure here

Katherine has an MA in Education, a Diploma in Conflict Studies, and a range of qualifications in Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding, Coaching and Facilitation.
